Casey Jarvis came within one stroke of potentially joining Sir Nick Faldo and Seve Ballesteros as the only golfers to win three successive DP World Tour events. He won the Kenya Open, SA Open and then finished one behind Dan Bradbury at the Joburg Open, missing a six-footer on the last hole that would have forced a playoff.

Gabrielle Venter birdied the final two holes in regulation play to create a playoff with Norway's Madelene Stavnar, which she won, to land the Platinum Ladies Open at Blair Atholl Golf and Equestrian Estate. Venter had rounds of 69, 65, 66 for a second Sunshine Ladies Tour title.

Casandra Alexander continued her form with a third-place finish at the Australian WPGA Championship, four strokes behind home favourite Hannah Green. Caitlyn Macbab was tie 59th after a disappointing closing round of 79 at Sanctuary Cove, Gold Coast.

All four South Africans at the 'fifth men's Major', the Players Championship, missed the cut at TPC Sawgrass. The cut was at +2. Erik van Rooyen (+4), Christiaan Bezuidenhout (+6), Aldrich Potgieter (+7) and Garrick Higgo (+8) missed out. American Cameron Young won the event.

Strokes under par that Casandra Alexander finished at the Australian Open at Kooyonga Golf Club. She had rounds of 73, 71, 67, 71 to end T4th and five shots behind the champion, Hannah Green.

Number of shots Nadia van der Westhuizen was ahead of Jordan Rothman when she won her fourth Sunshine Ladies Tour title at the ABSA Ladies Invitational at Royal Johannesburg. Van der Westhuizen had rounds of 65, 68, 66.

Martin Vorster became the 25th winner on the Sunshine Tour in the 2025/26 season when he completed an emotional win at the DNI Tour Championship at De Zalze. With his dad Waldo on his bag, Vorster closed with a 66 to win on 21-under-par, with Altin van der Merwe and Jaco Prinsloo sharing second on 19-under.

Christiaan Bezuidenhout was in T30 at the Valspar Championship on the PGA Tour at Innesbrook Resort & Golf Club, after a two-under 282 left him nine strokes behind Matt Fitzpatrick of England. Erik van Rooyen (+7) and Garrick Higgo (+8) missed the cut.

Daniel van Tonder shot two rounds of 63 on the way to winning the first event of The Courier Guy Playoffs series, by two strokes at Serengeti Estates. Van Tonder had rounds of 70, 63, 71, 63 to finish on 21-under-par, with Wilco Nienaber in a share of second place on 19-under.

The age that Denis Huchinson turned on 14 March. He was a great amateur golfer, winning the SA Open in 1959, beating Gary Player by one shot. He then turned professional and won 20 tournaments before going on to become a living legend.
