Christiaan Bezuidenhout was the sole South African golfer in Presidents Cup action at Medinah CC, playing in two matches. The Internationals looked to be on the brink of winning for only the second time, but lost the singles 9.5-2.5 and overall 17-13. Bezuidenhout lost his Sunday singles 1-down to Chris Gotterup. Earlier, he'd partnered Adam Scott to a 3&2 win over Justin Thomas and Cameron Young in the Friday foursomes.

Thriston Lawrence won his third Omega European Masters, joining Seve Ballesteros as the only players to triumph three times in the Swiss event since 1972. Lawrence won on the fourth playoff hole against Paul Casey, after carding rounds of 64, 63, 73, 62 for 18-under-par 262, with 23 birdies in the week.

Samuel Simpson claimed his third victory on the Sunshine Tour this season when he won the Sunbet Challenge hosted by Sun Sibaya at The Woods at Mount Edgecombe. Simpson closed with a final round of 65 to win on 13 under par, one shot clear of Graham van der Merwe, Rowan Lester and Pieter Moolman.

Kyle de Beer claimed his first Sunshine Tour title, winning the inaugural Rwanda Open at the Kigali Golf Resort and Villas by six shots. 'It's surreal. To get my first win here is a dream come true. It's an amazing venue with amazing people here in Rwanda. I could not have scripted it better,' he said.

Shots by which Crystal Janse van Rensburg won the Cobra/Puma CGGU Ladies at Kyalami CC. She produced rounds of 70 and 75 to finish on 1-over par to win by 13 strokes over Lauren Anne van der Merwe.

The 50-year-old Jean Hugo won his 22nd Sunshine Tour event when he won the Sunbet Challenge hosted by the Wild Coast Sun. He won his first Sunshine Tour title in his rookie season in 1999. He followed up by winning the SA Legends Tour's South African Senior Open at Plettenberg Bay CC.

Points scored by Keagan Wiltshire who claimed victory at the Johannesburg leg of the 11th Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup at Blair Atholl Golf Club. The win earned Wiltshire a spot to represent Johannesburg at the global Grand Finals in Türkiye, one of the world's most expansive amateur golf tournaments.
