The Trackman Indoor Challenge, in partnership with The Golf Mag, has enjoyed a wonderful summer. The facility was on full display at the 2026 Investec SA Open at Stellenbosch Golf Club where a steam of visitors tested their skills on Trackman's world-class technology. Trackman delivers precise data, real-time ball-flight analysis, and 3D swing visuals for unmatched realism and performance insights.
Over the past few months, golfers of all abilities, shapes and sizes have been competing in handicap-adjusted Stableford formats at participating Trackman indoor facilities across South Africa. They have faced off against golfers of similar levels nationwide, climbing the leaderboards, and vying for fantastic prizes, like coaching sessions, premium gear, bay time, and more. It's interactive, fun, and open to The Golf Mag subscribers (subscription is free!).

‘I play off a 10-handicap at De Zalze Golf Club. I’m blown away by the Trackman technology. I’d love to have this as something to use regularly. It’s particularly cool because it’s not weather-dependant. You can play any course in the world, and see in real-time what you’re doing. The feedback is in real time and from that perspective it’s quicker than what you can do on the range or the golf course itself.
‘I did the three-hole challenge, and hit a 7-iron for all three shots, with a distance of 157 metres. I fell short in all three of them, but that’s the club I normally use for that yardage. But I guess you can get a bit anxious with people watching and veer from what your normal swing is!

Play Iconic Courses. Compete Nationwide
What is it?
A countrywide series where golfers compete virtually at Trackman centres on famous courses, with scores submitted monthly. Competitions are handicap-adjusted for fairness across levels. The series climax is a live final at the Investec SA Open at Stellenbosch Golf Club at the end of February 2026, where Trackman and The Golf Mag will host interactive on-site competitions throughout the week.

The prize draw is only open to all entrants who are over 18 years of age and reside in South Africa. Employees of The Golf Mag, GolfRSA and Anthonij Rupert Wyne and their respective advertising, media and PR agencies, as well as the family members, consultants, directors, associates and trading partners of such organisations and persons are ineligible for the draw. Participants can only win one competition.
The prize winner will be notified via email or telephone call and their names will be published in the magazine. Only one participant or entrant per household is entitled to win one prize in any competition. If the prize is not claimed within 30 days of the winner being announced, the winner automatically forfeits the prize and we reserve the right to redistribute or dispose of the prize at its discretion.
