Casey Jarvis signed off on 23 under par to win for the first time on the Sunshine Tour, in the Hyundai Open at Ebotse 

Links. Jarvis closed with a 68 to hold off his close friend Ryan van Velzen for the win, with a par on the final hole sealing the deal.

Jacques Kruyswijk claimed his fourth Sunshine Tour title when he beat George Coetzee with a par on the second hole of their playoff at the Vodacom Origins of

Golf at Devonvale Golf & Wine Estate. Gabrielle Venter finished as the leading Sunshine Ladies Tour professional on four over par with a final round of 77.

Kaiyuree Moodley went back-to-back on the Sunshine Ladies Tour when she followed up her maiden win in the Blu Label Unlimited Ladies Challenge with victory in the Auma Ladies Classic at Ebotse Links a week later. She beat Kiera Floyd in a playoff after both had finished on 211.

second place with Germany’s Helen Briem at the Lacoste Ladies Open de France. Both players shot 66 (-5) on the final day at Golf Barrière to finish two behind the winner, Canada’s Anna Huang.

There were two golfers representing South Africa at the 2025 Deaflympics in Tokyo. In the men’s event Charles Williams finished T21st on 250 with rounds of 85, 79, 86 and in the women, Gail Klichowicz finished 21st behind Indian pro Diksha Dagar (205), on a 323 total after rounds of 105, 111 and 107.

JC Ritchie lifted his fourth trophy this year, and his first in South Africa since 2022, when he triumphed in the Stella Artois Players Championship at Randpark Golf Club. Ritchie, a three-time winner on the HotelPlanner Challenge Tour in 2025, won by two shots for his 11th Sunshine Tour title.

The position held by Ernie Els on the Charles Schwab Cup Money List for 2025 heading into December’s final two events. Els has won $2.4-million in stakes this year, with Retief Goosen eighth with $1.77m. Stewart Cink ($3.2m) leads.

Casandra Alexander continued her strong 2025 form when she finished T8th in the China Championship on the Ladies European Tour after rounds of 77, 63, 68. She was five shots behind China’s Liu Ruixin.

The final position of the highest-placed South African in the 2025 Race To Dubai rankings. Jayden Schaper closed out the DP World Tour season in 26th, with Thriston Lawrence 27th, Jacques Kruyswijk 31st and Shaun Norris 32nd.

Sunshine Tour pro Luke Brown was joined by Irish musician Bryan McFadden and businessmen Darren Roos and Surinder Arora, as they won the 36-hole Gary & Vivienne Player Invitational at Sun City by one shot. The fourball ended on 46-under par, edging Malcolm Mitchell, Bryan Habana, and Wilco and Henri van Deijl by one.

The best round that Garrick Higgo posted – the lowest of his career – at the PGA Tour’s World Wide Technology Championship at El Cardonal at Diamant. Higgo led after 54 holes before a closing 68 dropped him to T4th on 262, three shots behind winner Ben Griffin.

LIV Golf announced that from 2026 all 14 of their events for the year would be contested over 72 holes and not 54. The inaugural LIV Golf South Africa will take place from 19-22 March at The Club in Steyn City.
