Kingswood Golf Estate celebrates its new community centre and clubhouse

Kingswood Golf Estate officially opened its new community centre and clubhouse on 1 September 2025 — a symbolic and festive way to welcome the first day of spring. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by the executive mayor of George, Jackie von Brandis, alongside Nedbank’s group managing executive, Ciko Thomas. The event was attended by numerous invited guests, who gathered to celebrate this milestone in the estate’s development.

This state-of-the-art facility marks a new chapter in Kingswood’s growth as one of the Garden Route’s preferred, secure, family-friendly residential golf estates. Financed entirely by Kingswood homeowners, the centre was designed to serve as the social and recreational heart of the estate — a vibrant gathering space for

community interaction, celebration and connection with the estate’s natural surroundings.

Positioned to showcase sweeping views of the Outeniqua Mountains, the striking building combines world-class amenities with a clean, modern design. Sustainability and innovation are at its core, with energy-efficient systems, and high-speed connectivity ensuring long-term value and functionality.

One of the features of the new facility is La Famiglia, Kingswood’s flagship restaurant, which offers a Mediterranean-style menu, including fine dining and casual meals. The restaurant features a private dining room, flexible event spaces and a family-friendly environment. Children can enjoy a newly installed jungle gym or join in fun activities like pizza-making. Cultural programmes and regular community events are also set to take place throughout the year.

The realisation of this project coincides with the launch of the new Kingswood Golf Club, owned and operated by Kingswood HOA Properties (Pty) Ltd, where an entirely new golf management team has been appointed with the mandate to ensure a greatly enhanced golfing experience, not only for homeowners and members but also for every visiting golf patron. Golfers at the estate will benefit from greatly improved golfing facilities, including a new practice facility, a modernised and well-stocked pro shop, as well as a new fleet of GPS-enabled E-Z-GO golf carts. These carts are equipped with real-time navigation and scoring systems, bringing a tech-forward experience to the estate’s championship course.

Designed to be multifunctional, the clubhouse and community centre support a wide range of uses. Homeowners can book venues for private and community events, golfers can access upgraded services and visitors are welcome to enjoy the estate’s offerings, whether on the fairways and in the clubhouse, or at La Famiglia.

This new development reflects the Kingswood community’s commitment to excellence and shared vision for the future. It not only enhances the estate’s appeal and property values but also strengthens its reputation as one of the premier residential golf estates in the region.
