Titleist has unveiled its 2025 T-Series to rave reviews. This month we look at what is available in South African stores and online

The 2025 Titleist T-Series irons were recently launched to replace the 2023 models, and guess who was the first professional to win a PGA Tour event using them? None other than Aldrich Potgieter, who made his big breakthrough on the Tour at the age of 20.
A visit to the Titleist Performance Centre paid instant dividends for the long-hitting South African, who was our cover feature in the August issue. Read more here.
After a detailed fitting session, Potgieter strategically updated his bag with a new Titleist T250 2-iron, a set of new T150 irons for his 4- and 5-irons, and the new T100 irons from 6-iron through to his 9-iron. The decision to switch to the new models paid instant dividends, as he went on to win The Rocket Classic in his first tournament with the new irons in play.
The 2025 lineup features seven distinct models, each meticulously designed to meet the demands of every skill level.
Titleist emphasises that the T-Series irons are designed to be easily blended together, allowing golfers to create a custom set that meets their individual needs. For example, a player might choose the T100 for their short-irons and the T250 for their long-irons. The T-Series irons are also designed to provide a consistent ball flight, making it easier for golfers to predict how the ball will react on the course.

What Titleist says: ‘Feel is essential for the best players in the game. The refined, fully forged dual-cavity construction of Titleist T100 produces a more solid feel at impact, while the precision CNC face-milling process leads to more consistent contact for greater control.’
Random review: ‘Accomplished ball strikers will enjoy a penetrating flight and a soft yet solid feel from the latest T100 iron. Advancements over the prior model appear to be minor, but more consistent carries are sure to get your attention.’

What Titleist says: ‘Inspired by the player's performance and feel of T100 but forged into a more confidence-inducing shape, T150 is a modern Tour iron with dialled-up speed for players seeking a little more distance.’
Random review: ‘The T150 irons are the twin of the T100 irons but with more ball speed and distance. Beautiful looking at address and has a great feel. Surprising level of forgiveness. Wonderful combo set possibilities with the T100 and T200 irons.’

What are the key improvements in this generation of T-Series irons?
The new T-Series irons feature several important improvements over the prior generation. New internal technologies have been added to promote higher launch, new Progressive Groove Design improves spin consistency from the rough, and new face designs work to improve distance control throughout the set. Additionally, all the T-Series irons feature a stunning new look designed for seamless set blending.
Are T-Series irons only designed for low-handicap golfers?
No. While the T100 and T150 irons are geared towards better players seeking precision, the T250 and T350 irons are designed for golfers seeking more distance and forgiveness, making the T-Series suitable for a broad range of skill levels. The best way to find the right models for your game is by booking a Titelist fitting.
Which T-Series irons are the most forgiving?
The T350 irons are the most forgiving in the T-Series lineup, featuring a forged face and hollow-body construction with advanced technologies to maximise distance and forgiveness.

What Titleist says: ‘For players who want complete iron performance in a more forgiving shape, T250 unites speed, stability, and consistency with our cleanest look ever.’
Random review: ‘If someone asked me to show them the perfect players’ distance iron, I’d be reaching for this. I don’t chop and change my bag easily, but T250 has gone straight in and it’s going to take something seriously special to displace it.’

Random review: ’These irons are the poster boy for game-improvement irons. They do all the things: launch high and easily, carry far and are loaded with forgiveness. Plus, they look great.

What Titleist says: ‘Utility-irons designed to launch the ball higher with consistently fast ball speeds and maximum stability. While differentiated by shaping and performance characteristics, both new utilities maximise performance on tee shots and approach shots.’
Random review: ‘Titleist irons are the most-used irons on the PGA Tour, so it’s no surprise they also claim the title of most-played utility iron. It’s not a closely run race either – they had a 60% share of the US Open men’s field for the category.’
