Danielle du Toit was the winning team captain at the 2025 PIF London Championship. The 26-year-old had only played in the format twice, but led the team of Australia’s Sarah Kemp, Spain’s Marta Sanz Barrio and England’s Megan Dennis to a three-shot victory.

Michael Hollick became a four-time winner on the Sunshine Tour with his two-stroke victory at the FNB Eswatini Challenge at Ezulwini Golf & Country Club. He finished 16 under par and played the par fives in 11 under.

Jacques van der Merwe claimed back-to-back Betway Big Easy Tour titles with a come-from-behind win at the sixth event of the season at Reading Country Club. He started the final round five shots off the pace, but his six-under-par 65 was enough to earn him a one-shot victory.

Darren Fichardt had his best result on the Legends Tour when he finished runner-up to Bo Van Pelt at the PGA Seniors Championship at Trump International. Both finished at three under par before Van Pelt won on the first hole of the playoff.

CMASA proudly hosted its 70th AGM at Steyn City at the end of August. The event brought together 140 general managers, CEOs, heads of department and key stakeholders from the golfing industry. The industry awards dinner took place afterwards, where excellence and leadership within the golf management profession were celebrated.

GolfRSA National Squad member Johndre Ludick beat Ernie Els Foundation stablemate Devon Valentine 4 & 2 to add the Match Play title to his six-shot Stroke Play win at Selborne Golf Club.

The margin of shots by which GolfRSA National Squad member Lourenda Steyn won the Global Junior Golf German International Youth Trophy at Semlin Golf Resort. Fellow Squad members Lisa Coetzer and Casey Twidale finished second and seventh, respectively. Steyn had a seven-shot lead heading into the final round.

The third edition of the R&A Africa Amateur Championship and Africa Amateur Women’s Invitational will be played at Royal Johannesburg from 4-7 February 2026. Both events will be contested over the East Course, which has a rich history of staging professional and amateur championships, including the SA Open.
