Kaiyuree Moodley achieved a career breakthrough when she won for the first time on the Sunshine Ladies Tour, in the Blu Label Unlimited Ladies Challenge
Jacques Kruyswijk claimed his fourth Sunshine Tour title when he beat George Coetzee with a par on the second hole of their playoff at the Vodacom Origins of
at Lost City. Moodley ended with a score of three points – one clear of Ivanna Samu.
Golf at Devonvale Golf & Wine Estate. Gabrielle Venter finished as the leading Sunshine Ladies Tour professional on four over par with a final round of 77.

Ernie Els was pipped by one shot by Justin Leonard at the Dominian Energy Charity Classic after being in the lead for 52 of the 54 holes. He made a bogey four on the 17th to drop into a tie for second with Thomas Bjorn. Retief Goosen was T5th with Bernhard Langer.

as she shared
second place with Germany’s Helen Briem at the Lacoste Ladies Open de France. Both players shot 66 (-5) on the final day at Golf Barrière to finish two behind the winner, Canada’s Anna Huang.

Garrick Higgo came within two strokes of winning on the PGA Tour for a third time when finishing runner-up to Steven Fisk at the Sanderson Farms Championship. Higgo finished on 22-under-par and earned $654 000 (R11.2m) in the process.

Barend Botha missed out by two strokes in securing his PGA Tour card when he finished second to Chandler Blanchet at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship. He had led through 54 holes before firing a final round 70. He still has a chance to claim a spot through Q-School.

Pieter Moolman claimed his fourth Sunshine Tour title with a two-shot victory in the Limpopo Championship at the Euphoria Golf & Lifestyle Estate. Two weeks earlier he had lost out on the Sunbet Challenge Sun Sibaya title in a playoff.

The position in which Christiaan Bezuidenhout finished at the Sanderson Farms Championship, the second top-10 placing for him on the PGA Tour in 2025. He had finished T4th at the Phoenix Open in February.

Number of shots that Team SA won by in securing the Eisenhower Trophy for the first time. Christiaan Maas (pictured), Daniel Bennett and Charl Barnard were superb in Singapore beating Australia by eight shots and Mass won the individual competition by 10 shots. Maas finished on 266, Bennett was T8th on 281 and Barnard was T95th on 303.

The score, under par, that Warwick Purchase set on the way to winning on the Sunshine Tour for the first time, at the Fortress Invitational at Glendower. He had rounds of 66, 71, 62, 70 to win by two strokes and move to second on the Fortress Rookie of the Year standings.

The position that Team SA's women finished at the Espirito Santo Trophy at the World Amateur Team Championships. Bobbi Brown, Megan Streicher and Kyra Van Kan had scores of 147, 148, 145, 145 (two scores to count) for a total of 585 (+9). The USA won, beating South Korea and Spain on a tie-break.

The total compliment of South Africa’s who teed up in the field of 168 at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship across three Scottish courses. The tournament was reduced to 54 holes with Richard Sterne (pictured) finishing T3rd, five shots behind winner Robert McIntyre.

When Oliver Bekker made a 12-foot putt for par at the last hole he became the first South African in 69 years to win the Western Australian Open in Perth. Gary Player was the last South African to win the event, in 1956. A delighted Bekker said: ‘This win comes after I’d missed the last six or seven cuts in a row!
