Aldrich Potgieter (20) became the fourth-youngest golfer to shoot 61 or lower on the PGA Tour since 1983, behind Nick Dunlap, Patrick Cantlay and Tom Kim, when he had a 61 in the second round of the Mexico Open at Vidanta Vallarta. Potgieter shot 65, 61, 67 and 71 for 20-under 264 before losing in a playoff.

Casandra Alexander held her nerve to lift the Jabra Ladies Classic trophy for the second time in her career, and became the first multiple winner of this Sunshine Ladies Tour title since 2019. Alexander went into the final day with a two-shot lead after she had signed for a course-record eight-under-par 64 in the second round, and closed with a 67 to win by four shots on 14 under par.

Kesha Louw cemented her status as GolfRSA’s No 1 amateur with a come-from-behind playoff victory at the South African Women’s Amateur Stroke Play Championship, while Mogomotsi Sebata lifted the B-Division title at a rainy and windy PE Golf Club – The Hill.
JP van der Watt shot rounds of 65 and 67 for a 12-under-par total, to win the prestigious Proudfoot Trophy. The 36-hole strokeplay qualifier for the SA Amateur was played on his home course of Humewood Golf Club, which the youngster was able to use to his advantage after starting the final round one shot back.
